Barn owl sculptures were one of Kate's first designs. Winter was coming and Kate enjoyed printing with a limited colour palette of white and metallic lustres of copper and gold.

These paper sculptures are made with 300 gsm recycled watercolour paper. which has a lovely texture. They are mono screen printed: patterns and textures are drawn freehand onto the silkscreen to create a unique print for each individual owl.

They are varnished with a UV protective satin lacquer, which seals their edges and makes them easy to clean. All they need is a tickle from a feather duster every now and then.

They are arranged in family groups, on branches, floral wreaths and wooden plinths. Kate also likes to embellish the baby owls with spectacles, bow ties and top hats. She is often commissioned to add fun embellishments such as Ascot hats, wedding veils and sporrans.

They are available in two sizes (Large 31 cm tall, Small 19 cm tall) as well as babies, which are available in various sizes (Standard is 8 cm tall).
