Hello Subscriber First Name!

Gosh, the weather has taken a turn, hasn’t it! We are properly into jumper and slippers season now. Working on my new snowy owl designs has certainly made the cooler weather feel more inviting!

Usually I concentrate on British wildlife, but these owls have long been a favourite of mine. I love their ridiculous long face feathers! The focal piece of this new collection is a large female, with her trademark black barred markings. Frequently female birds are upstaged by the more gregarious male of their species, but in this case the female is much more striking.

I love using lustres to give the stark white colouring more dimension, which is subtle and lets the feathers catch the light in a rather pleasing way. Also in the collection are a snowy owl baby and I’ve nearly finished a full sized male, on one of my new tree stumps. I hope you like them.

No adventures for me this weekend, as I currently have a desk full of half made tawny owls and a kingfisher, which I hope to have finished next week. I hope the weather stays bright if you’re off out somewhere nice.
