Hello! I’m Kate.
I am a paper artist and printmaker. I make nature themed home décor to bring cheer to your walls, bookshelves and mantelpieces. Handmade sculpture that makes a house your home.
I make paper sculptures celebrating the beauty of the great outdoors, for nature lovers, and especially celebrating birds- our beloved garden visitors! It is my aim to capture the beauty and delight of Britain’s favourite birds and flowers we find in a walk in the woods, and harness a little bit of that magic for your walls and shelves. I am also inspired by parrots and tropical species further afield.
Treading lightly on the environment is important to me. My paper art is made from recycled papers and I aim to create minimal waste.
Each paper sculpture is built by hand, building layers and layers of really sturdy (300GSM) recycled cardstock. Each sculpture is made in sections to create unique postures for each piece. My paper is decorated using traditional printing methods such as monotype and screen printing, which also emphasises their individuality; no two sculptures are ever the same. Each piece has their own colour palette and patterns, with a unique pose and embellishments to give them their own personality.

From small garden birds, mini bouquets and floral wreaths, to owls and exotic wildlife, you will find a variety of sculptures in my shop. Each piece arrives promptly and ready to gift. Made-to-order custom pieces are also available, from minor alterations to a current design, to something completely original made for you. You can commission your own unique sculpture that complements your décor perfectly.
This white hydrangea has 18 blooms. They are accompanied by leafy stems in sage green shades. I added lustre to the leaves to give them a gentle shimmer.
The floral wreath has no hanging hook, so you can place it however you’d like to, hanging from its wire hoop, onto a hook or nail tack on your wall. The main frame of the floral wreath is made with a rather unwieldy steel wire, which holds its shape very well. The stems of the hydrangea blooms and the leafy stems are made with brass wire, which is strong enough to handle, but is pliable if you fancy having a particular leaf point in one direction.
Approximately 20 cm (8 inches).
Hydrangeas are said to represent gratitude, grace and beauty. White hydrangeas in particular represent purity and are often associated with weddings.

This coal tit is made from hand printed papers in white, black and grey. He has little polka dots on his wing feathers, which is my favourite feature of these delightful garden visitors.
He perches on a wreath adorned with mottled white and pink hydrangea blooms. The bird measures about 14 cm and the wreath is about 24 cm tall and wide.
This sculpture hangs on the wall via a little hook, suspended from the wreath at about 30 cm. It will hang on a nail tack or picture hook on your wall.
Coal tits look so smartly dressed, like they’re ready for a dinner party. I am always fond of a dapper bird. Coal tits are a little shyer than other garden visitors, but I’m always hopeful if I spot a little flutter by a conifer in the woods because this is where you are more likely to spot them. Coal tits are similar to the American Black Capped Chickadee.

This handmade paper sculpture depicts mama and baby barn owls perched on a tree stump adorned with lilac coloured tree blossom flowers.
The owls are covered with hand-cut feathers in pure white, copper, gold and silver markings. Their colours match perfectly, as they are made with same hand printed papers.
The base is fitted with a cork coaster, so that it won’t scratch your furniture.
This sculpture measures just over 30 cm high.
