This black cheeked lovebird sculpture has some vibrant markings. He has a teal green back, lighter green underbelly and a teal tail. His neck is a warm peach and his head is black and his beak is cherry red. His feet are paper wrapped steel wire, and the rest of his body is sturdy recycled cardstock, layered together with a final coat of hand cut paper feathers.
He measures about 20 cm from tail to beak.
Other types of lovebird have also been made, as there are many lovely species of these delightful birds. There is a very similar black masked lovebird, who has a more vibrant yellow chest, compared to this little fella's warm peach.
