Great Tit Duo on a floral wreath

£155.00

This paper flower wreath has two great tits perched within its hoops. As in nature, the paper bird sculptures are nearly identical, but each has its own pose and slight feather variations. They are made from the same mono printed papers, so they match as a pair, in navy blue, green and yellow, with the distinctive black stripe down their bellies. They have black faces with white cheeks.

Their floral wreath has small mottled blue hydrangea, with larger soft green hydrangea, and some sage green leafy stems.

The wreath is about 27 cm wide. Each bird is about 15 cm from beak to tail.

A popular and friendly garden visitor, the great tit is said to be a symbol of good luck. This is thought to be because they appear everywhere at the arrival of spring, lifting winter spirits. They are the largest of the tit family. Britain is blessed with some very colourful tits, while their American chickadee cousins are much more monochrome of plumage.
