This baby barn owl is made from handprinted papers, in white and warm copper brown and grey shades completely unique to him. His body and love heart shaped face are covered with hand cut feathers. He has black faceted bead eyes, a golden beak and beige feet. He is perched on a wreath adorned with pinkish purple flowers inspired by hydrangeas, nestled in pairs surrounding him. He is one of a kind.
Dimensions: 21 cm (8 inches) tall and wide. The owl is 10 cm (4 inches) tall.
He hangs on the wall via a steel hook, suspended with invisible fishing line. Just place the hook onto a picture rail hook or a nail tack on the wall.
Varnished with a UV protective lacquer.

I’ve taken a few liberties in my designs for baby owls, as in real life they’re often rather awkward looking half feathered floofy things! I wanted to concentrate more on their diminutive cuteness.
Owls are such majestic creatures, often associated with wisdom and insight. Did you know that, generally speaking, you can tell what lifestyle owls have just by looking at their eye colours? Black eyes, such as Barn owls have, mean that they are active in the night time. Yellow eyed owls are active in the day time. And Orange eyed owls are crepuscular, which means they are active at dusk and dawn.
